Nerja lies at the foot of the mountains at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, just 45 minutes from Malaga Airport, along the new main highway. Nerja's centrepiece is the Balcon de Europa, a palm promenade with superb views of the coastline. There are no modern high rise developments to mar Nerja's character. Within the town itself, there is a handful of small sandy coves and the main Burriana Beach is only 5 min walk from the Club Litoral apartment (excellent sea view from apartment balcony). The town centre is only 10 minutes walk away and there are a large variety of lovely restaurants and bars (including Tapas Bars). Apartment 1b, Balcon de Frigiliana Frigiliana, Nerja, Malaga, Costa del Sol, Spain 2 Bedrooms / 1 Bathroom / Sleeps 4 Frigliana is a cluster of white chalked houses which are in the Moorish style and the narrow, cobble stoned streets of the upper part are flanked by an abundance of colourful flowers which are a joy to walk through. At an altitude of 1,000ft it offers beautiful views over evergreen orchards of avocado and olive trees and foothills sloping down towards the Mediterranean. It was named prettiest village of Andalusia in 1997 and is now protected. Nerja which is a coastal town is only 6km away and there are buses which go from Frigliana to Nerja every day. The apartment is situated in the new part of Frigliana and is very easy to get to. Travelling to Frigliana has been made very easy by the new motorway from Malaga Airport which takes approximately 45 minutes.
