Enjoy the constantly changing waterfront scene, right on your doorstep. Deep Cove is a popular kayaking and boating centre, with restaurants, shopping, live entertainment, hiking, golf and skiing close by.

Peace, Quiet and Privacy
A guest from Europe commented on "the quality of the silence" here, saying he "could hear the water dripping off the oars" of the rowing club boats as they glided past in the morning. The steep hill behind us effectively blocks not only the sound, but also the lights of the city, so you can clearly see the stars while relaxing in the outdoor hot tub after dark. The two self-contained suites each have separate outside entrances. Although we do offer breakfast in our dining room, with the in-suite kitchenettes you can have a "self catered" breakfast on your own, whenever you feel like it. Many of our guests have said that they value their privacy and appreciate our staying out of their suite, except when we clean it once a week. Located in a secluded part of Deep Cove, which itself is a quiet idyllic village at the end of the coast road of Vancouver's North Shore, Lockehaven is a convenient getaway from the city for work, play or relaxation.

Work Hard, Play Hard or Relax Completely
With the in-suite office facilities, proximity to the city and quick access to most of the Lower Mainland, Lockehaven can serve as a convenient base from which to do business in the Vancouver area.
The outdoor recreational facilities of Deep Cove and Vancouver's North Shore make Lockehaven a destination vacation resort that offers an outstanding selection of outdoor activities at all times of the year: kayaking, hiking, golf, mountain biking, water skiing and snow skiing (including night skiing on the three local ski hills)
Lockehaven's Eagle Suite has a jetted hot tub on its private outside deck. This is a wonderful way to relax completely at the end of the day. Restaurants and the pub are within easy walking distance.

The in-suite offices allow business visitors to be fully productive while in Vancouver and vacationers can keep in touch with friends by email and access travel resources from the Internet. Each suite has a computer, wireless Internet and a dedicated telephone line that allows free long distance calls to all of Canada and the US.

In-suite Kitchenettes for Convenience and Privacy
We offer a full gourmet breakfast in our dining room every morning. Alternatively, with the well-equipped in-suite kitchenettes, you can prepare and enjoy not only breakfast, but any meal in the privacy of your suite at any time. Relax over an quiet dinner on your deck with the best view in BC.

Layout of the B & B
As you can see from the photographs, the house is built in three levels on a steep slope. The Otter Suite occupies almost all of the lowest level and the Eagle Suite occupies about half of the top level. The main (mid) level is for our private use, except when we serve breakfast each morning in our main dining area or on our deck. Each suite has its own private entrance off the exterior decks and the internal doors to the rest of the house are normally locked off from both sides.
Please note that this site is not suitable for those who have difficulty with stairs. From the parking area above the house, it is 21 steps down to reach the Eagle (Upper) Suite and it takes a total of 52 steps (including the upper and main level landings) to reach the Otter (Lower) Suite, using the external staircase.

    Standard Furnishings and Amenities for both Suites
  • In-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes and office alcoves
  • King-sized "sleigh" beds, bed-side tables and lamps
  • Dresser and clothes closet, with full length mirror
  • Clock/alarm radios in bedrooms
  • Independent heat controls in every room of each suite
  • Combination television-DVD-VCR (will play music CDs)
  • Couch and coffee table or footstool/tables
  • Dining table and two chairs next to kitchenette
  • Electric hair dryers, extra towels, bath robes, soap, shampoo
  • Irons and ironing boards
  • Deck table with two chairs and two lounge chairs
  • A laundry room off the common deck on the lower level has a high capacity washer and dryer that is available on a shared basis.
In-Suite Kitchenettes
    Both the Otter and Eagle Suites have in-suite kitchenettes that are separate from the bedrooms and are equipped with:
  • kitchen counters, sinks and cabinets
  • 9 cubic foot refrigerator with freezer
  • sets of cutlery and dishes for 6 people
  • cookware and cooking utensils
  • microwave, toaster oven, toaster, automatic coffee maker, blender
  • The Otter (Lower) Suite has a dishwasher
In-Suite Home Offices
    Both of the suites have desk areas that are separate from the bedrooms, with the following:
  • Desk with file drawer space
  • PC desktop computer with Microsoft Windows XP and Office software
  • High speed Internet (ADSL) service and wireless network available for connecting guests' laptop computers to the Internet.
  • The use of a laser printer/copier/fax is available free of charge, on request on a shared basis
