It is now starting a new life as a Bed and Breakfast and the new owners Mary Lou and John intend to follow in the tradition of those who came before her. Newly renovated, the Caversham House is a warm and welcoming home away from home. The Caversham House was named after a charming village in the south-west of England. The Pineapple (a symbol of welcome and hospitality) represents the Bed and Breakfast. You will have fun finding the articles in the house that feature a Pineapple in their design. Enjoy the warm hospitality of your hosts as they welcome you to The Caversham House in Stratford, Ontario nestled on a tree lined street. The Caversham House is located just off Stratford's main street near the River Avon and within easy walking distance of both the Festival and the Tom Patterson Theatre. A leisurely stroll will find you at the theatres, parks, restaurants and many unique shops. The Guest Rooms Choose from three charming guestrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, decorated in period style. Each room has its own special signature. The Sheridan Room is appointed in Lilac featuring a Queen size bed and ensuite with shower. You will find this an inviting room at the end of your busy day at the theatre. The Balmore Room has a classic French influence. The gold walls and luxurious Queen iron bed provides a soothing environment for footsore visitors. The Henley Suite is an eclectic delight. Featuring a balcony with a garden view, the outdoors spill into the Henley Room. This room offers twin beds and an ensuite with bath and shower. The Guest Lounge Share a cup of tea (and the day's adventures) with other guests in the elegant sitting room or put your feet up in one of the beautifully appointed guestrooms.
