Named for the driftwood that litters the nearby beach Driftwood Cottages are conveniently located just 10 minutes drive from the Hawke’s Bay Wine Country shopping centres of Napier, Hastings and Havelock North and five minutes from the award-winning Cape Kidnappers Golf Course. Two Cottages: Periwinkle and Starfish A very short stroll takes guests to the nearby beach and adjacent wetlands, both of which boast magnificent views of Hawke Bay – from Mahia to Cape Kidnappers. Guests are offered accommodation in one of two self-contained cottages each of which is individually appointed to cater for their every need. Generous breakfast provisions are provided and consist of the best that Hawke’s Bay has to offer including local artisan bread, free-range eggs, Hawke’s Bay grown fresh seasonal fruit, locally cured bacon and freshly roasted coffee. Driftwood Cottages are the perfect getaway for the discerning food and wine lover. Hawke’s Bay is home to some of New Zealand’s best wineries and most innovative food producers. Spend the day exploring Hawke’s Bay Wine Country then retreat to your cottage for the evening where you can relax with a glass (or two) of wine, enjoy the fabulous produce and wine you have picked up along the way, or choose from one of the various dining options available, before slipping between the pure cotton sheets of your king size bed. The Cottages Driftwood Cottages offers guests accommodation in one of two individually appointed contemporary cottages set in a relaxing beachside garden. Each cottage has a generous pantry so there’s no need for guests to worry about bringing all the extras that so often makes preparation for self-contained accommodation such a drag. The pantry stores include all the basics plus we are able to provide a selection of locally produced foods, which gives guests an opportunity to sample some of the interesting food products that are becoming synonymous with this food and wine destination that is known as Hawke’s Bay Wine Country. Periwinkle Cottage Periwinkle Cottage is a one-bedroom cottage perfect for honeymooners or those seeking a romantic weekend away to recharge their batteries and reconnect. This cottage features a large bedroom with king-sized bed (can also be made up as two singles if required), a spacious lounge, well-equipped kitchen, generous pantry, bathroom and spacious deck with your own gas barbecue. Starfish Cottage Starfish Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage that is ideal for one or two couples wanting to enjoy the weekend exploring Hawke’s Bay Wine Country. This cottage features two bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed (one can be made up as two singles if required), a comfortable lounge, well-equipped kitchen, well-stocked pantry, bathroom and roomy deck with your own gas barbecue.
