A Newfoundland Puffin ,Whale boat tour is quite enjoyable even if you don't see a lot of puffins or whales.

On the ferry to Newfoundland we talked to locals about whale tours. They had mentioned that whales will start to move out in the middle of August. They also mentioned that south of St. John's should still have whales. They were right but the numbers were down.

Note: It is real hard to get a great photo of a whale because the ocean is vast. We watched for gulls hovering over an area which did help get a few shots. They still come out of the water fast and you only have a second to react.
