Northwest Coast Indians, Ketchikan Alaska, Totem Carving on a Long House
The Northwest Coast Indians are an integral part of Ketchikan's culture. Twenty percent of the residents can trace their heritage to the Tlingit, Haida or Tsimshian tribes. Ketchican has the largest collection of totem poles in the world. You can watch the modern day Indian carvers work and talk to them about their culture.
