THE HOUSE & GARDENS
Aster Palms has four double bedrooms, two of which are ensuite. All rooms include a 40 channel satellite TV, as well as in the lounge where a more extensive range of channels can be viewed as well as use of a DVD and video player and a music system. Free wifi access is available throughout the house.
If you want to catch up on your reading, the library is well-stocked with over 500 books in English and Afrikaans and for the musically-minded, a grand piano stands in a formal reception room.
The gardens are a place to enjoy the wide variety of western cape nature: roses, lavenders, hibiscus, agapanthus, azaleas, magnolia trees and other exotic flowers and plants surround the palm-fringed solar-heated pool. Abundant fauna such as doves, owls and other creatures live happily alongside the Aster Palms guests, making this a perfect place for families. And for your comfort and total peace of mind, be rest assured the house is private and safe, with electronic gates for secure parking.
See & Do
The Boschenmeer Golf and Country Estate is 4 km away. The surrounding mountains provide a calm and peaceful round of golf. This scenic course is the only 27-hole golf course in the Western Cape.
Pearl Valley Signature Golf Estate and Spa (8 km), a residential development among orchards and vineyards, is situated on the outskirts between Paarl and Franschhoek. No handicap is required unless you are entering a competition.
Paarl is the venue for a number of annual events such as the Paarl Shiraz Festival, Paarl Cultivaria Festival, the Nederburg Wine Auction and lastly, Pinotage On Tap which is held outside Paarl.
The Paarl Wine Route contains many wonderful vineyards in which to sample the many red and white wines as well as cheeses and olives and enjoy dinner when fabulous views emerge.
During the day there are ample opportunities to go on nature rambles to observe the fynbos, the birdlife and the wonderful scenery. While at night the skies are clear and dark.
